OUR STORY
The three initials of C.T.A stand for Colour, Texture, and Atmosphere, which are essential principles in our approach to the interior design.

Colour + Texture = Atmosphere
Mood and atmosphere are crucial, whether the space is a private residence, luxury hotel, office or restaurant.
The first impression and feeling of entering a space are paramount. We design the place inspired by these sensory experiences and express our ideas through colour and materials.
This is the basis of our design philosophy.

RESUME
Our chief designer, Yuko Iida, studied textile design in London and after working as a fashion accessory designer for many years, she began her career as an interior designer. After working on interior projects for numerous five-star hotels such as Claridge's and Berkeley Hotel in the UK, she opened C.T.A Interior Design's studio and showroom in Tokyo.

After graduating BA (Hon) textile design from Central Saint Martin’s College, currently a part of University of the Arts London, Yuko worked as an accessory designer for global brands responsible for their entire accessories collections for many years.
Gradually developed her interest in interior design, she was appointed as an interior designer for the Maybourne Hotel Group (comprising Claridge’s, The Berkeley and The Connaught in London, and many more internationally) and worked on projects such as the suite rooms of American fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg and the major renovation of Georgian-style apartments at Claridge’s.

Outstanding award for the 21st Interior Design Competition sponsored by Japan Interior Association, title「Cocoon」
Based on the theme of “well-being space”, we created a multipurpose space that everyone can share and access. We chose organic colors and materials, and to not feel the divide between wall, floor and ceiling, we used a see-through cloth hanging from the ceiling to blur the straight lines and also create privacy. The design emphasises the curve throughout the space. The visuals are created using AI technology.
This work was inspired by public facilities in Finland, and I believe it could also be used as a spa design for luxury hotels.

Encouragement award for the 21st Interior Design Competition sponsored by Japan Interior Association, title「Touch and feel the house」
This is a residential project that approaches the tactile sense, one of the five human senses. I have selected materials from all over the world that feel comfortable to touch with your hands and bare feet. We also pay attention to environmental issues, for example, we used sustainable cork for the flooring. We have created a single open space without walls or hallways in the main living area, which will increase communication between residents and allow them to live a happy life.
